Cahit Sitki Taranci Müzesi

Cahit Sitki Taranci Müzesi Review

Down a narrow alleyway near the Ulu Cami in the old city, the Cahit Sitki Taranci Müzesi is a historic home dating back to 1734 that has been renovated and turned into an ethnographic museum, with rooms displaying scenes of life as it once was in Diyarbakir. The museum, which has a pleasant courtyard with a fountain, offers probably the best opportunity of seeing what an old Diybarbakir house looked like. Opening hours can be erratic.
