Kümbet Cami (Drum-Dome Mosque)

Kümbet Cami (Drum-Dome Mosque) Review

The Kümbet Cami, at the foot of the hill by Kars River, was originally the Armenian Church of the Twelve Apostles, built in the 10th century. You can still make out the Apostles on the exterior of the drum-shape cupola. The mosque is often locked, in which case the only view is through a rusty gate, but the exterior is architecturally interesting.
