Earthy and arty, traditional and modern, with lots of exposed timber, this beautiful 80-year-old chestnut building beside the river brings a different experience to the area, with six surprisingly stylish rooms with such touches as cute wooden bathroom cabinets and funky stone bowl basins; try to get one of the three river-view rooms. The whole building is, not surprisingly, no-smoking.
