Diyarbakir's best regarded choice for fine dining is slick and modern, in the new part of town, and offers good food and a diverse menu. Among the regular kebabs the kusbasi (small pieces of loin of lamb with cinnamon, dried mint, cumin, and black pepper) is a standout, as are some more unusual variations, such as a peach kebab. They also serve the local specialty kaburga, a sheep's ribcage, cooked with rice inside, that the waiter dissects for you. Alcohol is available.
