Getting Here
Getting to eastern Turkey once meant grueling bus rides that sometimes took more than a day. The arrival of budget air travel has changed this dramatically, and several domestic airlines now crisscross Turkey. And feeling the competition, Turkey's national carrier, Turkish Airlines, has started slashing fares on domestic routes. Best of all, Turkey's airlines don't penalize you for buying a one-way ticket, so it's possible to fly into one city and depart from another, which can save a lot of time and money.
