Amanruya Review
Perched above the Aegean Sea is a 36-room retreat whose name is aptly translated to "peace" and "dream." Like its sister properties, this resort (opened in spring 2012) offers guests the tranquil sense that they are all alone, even when every villa is occupied. Rooms are called cottages, and have enormous bathrooms, dining spaces, and traditional Turkish fireplaces. Outside, large gardens are adorned with daybeds, loungers, and private pools. Turkish food, Mediterranean dishes, and the resort group's hallmark Asian cuisine are served in four dining pavilions, a casual restaurant, and in-room. Guided excursions to nearby attractions are customized for each guest and include visits to Bodrum, an ancient seaside city with a maze of white buildings, and Didyma, home to the 7th-century BC Temple of Apollo.
