Ty Gwyn

Ty Gwyn Review

This coaching inn, built in 1636, is one of the best places to eat in Snowdonia. The food is traditional Welsh fare, beautifully prepared with local ingredients: duck breast in a whiskey reduction, for instance, or Aberdaron lobster with cheddar and mustard crème fraiche. Vegetarians are well cared for with such dishes as Thai-style vegetable curry with fresh lime and chili. The inn also has simple, cozy bedrooms starting at £40 per night.
