Dating from 1400, this grand country house 4 miles southeast of Abergavenny is set on 20 acres of well-tended grounds with lovely views of the Brecon Beacons. The rooms are large and retain original details like marble fireplaces; a few have four-poster beds. There's a log fire in the lounge, and the terrace is perfect for afternoon tea. The acclaimed restaurant is known for organic meat.
