Airports

International flights to Belize arrive at the Philip Goldson International Airport in Ladyville, 9 mi (15 km) north of Belize City, probably the only airport in the world with a mahogany roof. Small domestic airports (which comprise landing strips with a one-room check-in) in Belize are in Belize City, Corozal, Dangriga, Independence, Placencia, Punta Gorda, San Pedro, and Sarteneja.
