$$-$$$, Cabo San Lucas
Fodor's Review:
The Ungson family had been in Cabo for more than four decades before turning their home across from Plaza San Lucas into an inn. It's the classiest place in the neighborhood, landscaped with paths leading to a pool and terrace. Room furnishings are handcrafted and thoughtfully arranged. Open showers in the huge tiled bathrooms are works of art -- some even have little gardens. The property feels totally secluded, though it's in the middle of town.
