  The Phoenix Review

  My wife and I were married on June 19th of this year. A friend of ours recommended that we look into The Phoenix resort on San Pedro Island in Belize, so we did. To the two of us, there is nothing more reliable than a trusted source for a getaway, especially when we are spending our hard earned money to go there.
  
  We decided that we would take the recommendation and check it out. Let me also say, that we went for 10 days so please keep that in mind as we had ample time to come to our own conclusion.
  
  Upon arriving to The Phoenix we instantly knew we made the right decision. The resort covered the cost of our cab and provided us with their signature cocktail as well as a private tour of the resort and our suite. The tour was given by the Operations Manager Mark, who made us feel at home right away.
  
  Mark showed us to our suite, which originally was planned to be a 1-Bedroom suite, but we were upgraded to a 2-Bedroom suite on the top floor with amazing views. The resort provided us a mountain of information from which places we should eat to where to grab the best drink deals. There was always someone to answer a question or provide a recommendation if we needed one.
  
  The resort staff is outstanding. I travel a lot on business and have been to a lot of resorts with my Wife and never have we found a more attentive staff. From the grounds crew to the security guards, and the on-site excellent Red Ginger wait staff to the customer service members, these people are exemplary.
  
  Here is a perfect example of their work eithic: During the first week of our trip, a Tropical Storm approached the island. We knew it was a possibility as it is Hurricane season. However, the staff kept us up to speed with National Weather service updates as well as tips and tricks to help us prepare just in case power or water were lost. They provided us with back up lighting as well as a list of phone numbers in case we needed anything throughout the night. I will also add here upon check in, they give every suite a local cell phone storm or not, so you have the use of a phone on the island if you need one!
  
  There were actually guests from other resorts on the island that sought shelter at the Phoenix and they all said they felt welcomed since other resorts were basically telling folks they were on their own.
  
  The resort made us feel safe and we knew we were in good hands. The next day once the storm was over, everyone from baggage handlers and front desk staff, all the way to the Director of Operations himself were out cleaning up palm tree limbs and in the pool cleaning it getting it ready for guests. By mid-day the next day, you would never have known the night before a storm had hit.
  
  If you are considering Central America for your vacation, honeymoon, or any other reason, I urge you to check out The Phoenix. We are already planning our next trip back, so make sure to book your suite before we book ours and take up all the room!

  The Phoenix Review

  Four of us stayed at the Phoenix for a week in a very private two-bedroom condo. The accommodations were immaculate and spacious. Everything top to bottom was beautiful and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch. They also had a washer/dryer inside the condo. Every time we needed drinks, food, etc, the front desk always sent someone to our door within seconds. Their restaurant, Red Ginger, is amazingly delicious. It is a MUST TRY. Everything was within walking distance from the Phoenix. All the staff members were very professional and extremely kind and friendly. One night we wanted fresh coconuts and the guys delivered 4 fresh coconuts to our door ready to drink and eat. It was the sweetest coconuts we had! Rolando at the pool bar also makes the best Pina Colada on the island. We truly felt like we stayed in a penthouse because the customer service at the Phoenix was outstanding. We will definitely return to the Phoenix and highly recommend it to family and friends.

  Our favorite new vacation spot!!!!

  My husband and I recently stayed at this resort and were delighted! We've been to the island before and stayed at other locations, but wanted to try something closer to town. It was really nice being able to walk to all of the restaurants instead of having to take a taxi or rent a cart. The location is just ideal!
  
  The resort itself is gorgeous! Our two-bedroom condo was spacious and equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helped us with everything from restaurant recommendations to arranging snorkeling and fishing trips. It was also such a pleasure to just sit by the gorgeous pools. From now on, we will only be staying at The Phoenix!
