Caye Casa Review

Longtime Belize resident Julie Babcock built these three beachfront condo villas, which opened in 2007, to go with her two small casitas, at the north end of town. The small complex was designed to have a colonial atmosphere—with thatched roofs on the porches, wooden shutters, and traditional hardwood railings—but built to modern architectural standards. The great rooms in the condo units have cathedral ceilings, track lighting, and tile floors. A villa for two persons in-season goes for BZ$480 plus 15% tax and service. There's a small pool and a pier. You can mix and match the units to accommodate a family or group. There also are two rooms with king beds (BZ$250 double, in-season, plus tax and service).
