Hibiscus Hotel Review

If you want to sleep well and also do some good, try the Hibiscus Hotel, where one-half of the profit from your stay goes to the bird rescue and rehab program at Belize Bird Rescue near Belmopan. New owners (who also run the Corker's restaurant next door, which provides room service for the hotel) say they spent over BZ$100,000 upgrading this small, one-story motel-like property. Don't expect anything fancy, but the beds are comfortable, five of the six rooms have a/c, and all have free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs with cable. Room rates are very reasonable at BZ$110 plus tax. The Hibiscus is right in the middle of Belmopan, next door to two banks and within walking distance of the bus station, U.S. Embassy, and most Belize government offices.
