Itzama Ethnobotanical Gardens

Itzama Ethnobotanical Gardens Review

A medicinal plant garden, Itzama Ethnobotanical Gardens was conceived and created by local Maya traditional healers, members of the Ketchi Maya Healers Association. Initial funding was from the Canadian government. There are about 100 species of medicinal plants transplanted to the garden. If you want to tour this small, informal, but highly educational garden, you should call or e-mail Victor Cal at the Belize Indigenous Training Institute and make an appointment in advance.
