Barnacle Bill's Beach Bungalows Review
"Barnacle Bill" Taylor, known as the wit of Maya Beach, and wife Adriane rent a pair of wooden Mennonite bungalows set among palm trees on a lovely beach about 80 feet from the sea; each cottage is on stilts and has a private bath and a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. Bill and Adriane can arrange to stock your refrigerator and pantry in advance, if you like, although there are restaurants and groceries nearby. Complimentary bikes and sea kayaks are available. On a calm day, it's about a 20-minute kayak ride to False Caye, where you can enjoy some of the peninsula's best free snorkeling. Complimentary pick-up from the airstrip.
