La Mariposa Review
The best view in town—a sweeping panorama of verdant hills, the aquamarine ocean, and offshore islands—is the claim to fame for this array of spacious rooms and suites tucked between the jungle and gardens ablaze with colorful flowers. The four-story main building holds the lobby and restaurant, above which are three floors of ocean-view rooms reached by external spiraling stairways (not for those who have trouble with stairs or suffer from vertigo), while other ocean-view rooms are in buildings clinging to the hillside. The sundeck and wraparound pool are lovely. Transportation is provided to and from the beach, several times a day.
