Hotel Amor de Mar Review

About ½ km (¼ mile) south of town, this ruggedly handsome hotel sits across from the entrance to Montezuma's famous waterfall. A grassy lawn stretches to the rocky seashore, where you can cool off in a natural tidal pool at low tide or lounge about in one of the palm-shaded hammocks. The place has a peaceful and intimate atmosphere in which to savor the homemade breakfasts (not included in rate) served each morning. Wood-panel rooms are rustic but comfortable; second-floor rooms have more windows. Recent renovations mean that all rooms now have private bathrooms, so prices have risen accordingly. The two-story oceanfront houses next door have four bedrooms, making them great for larger groups.
