Hotel Río Tempisque Review
There aren't many reasons to stay overnight in Nicoya, but if you get stuck here, this lush garden hotel is the best option. The rooms here, with high wooden ceilings and big picture windows, are comfortable by any standards and come equipped with microwave ovens, coffeemakers, and small refrigerators. Huge white-tile bathrooms have mirrored closets and showers big enough for two. The best thing about the place, though, is its tranquil location north of town, and its ample, mature gardens and pool. There's also a new restaurant serving breakfast and comida típica. The place fills up in January with visitors to the annual Santa Cruz folk festival nearby.
