Luna Azul Review
Sequestered in the green hills above Playa Ostional, several miles north of Nosara, Luna Azul is a tranquil, tasteful spot full of clever design and healthful attributes; there are abundant birds and wildlife, thanks to the surrounding private nature reserve. An excellent spot for nature lovers, it's also the most convenient lodge for seeing turtles nesting. Rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with tropical-themed linens and elegant bathrooms with hot-water showers open to nature. Three separate rooms have very private decks, cooled by overhead fans; four others have their own gardens. Homeopathic treatments and massages are available. The chic seafood restaurant overlooking the small but pretty pool draws customers from Nosara, with perfectly prepared seafood, fresh fish, tenderloin, and organic chicken. The nature-loving Swiss owners are always on hand. A new bridge will make it easier to get here from Nosara in the rainy season, when the Río Montaña used to be impassable. There are two bridges already in place north of the hotel, making it accessibe year round from Ventisiete de Abril.
