Monteverde Lodge and Gardens Review

The well-established Costa Rica Expeditions operates this longtime favorite, where extremely comfortable rooms have vaulted ceilings and great views and often come as part of a package that includes a long list of nature activities. The restaurant and bar are grouped around a huge but cozy lobby fireplace, and the whirlpool tub in the enormous solarium is a perfect place to unwind after a day of tromping through the reserves.

    pricey and not worth it

Do yourself a favor and do not stay at this hotel. My girlfriend and I stayed two nights at $150/night. The hotel lacked a television and looked liked a room from the 1970's. Further, the atmosphere was boring and the concierge tried to rip me off on at least one occasion. Breakfast was not very good and its cost was not included in my rate. This hotel was subpar, it's rate was absurd, and I am unhappy I stayed there.
