The Martínez family owns and operates this basic but friendly and comfortable bed-and-breakfast, offering four high-ceiling cabins with private gardens with hammocks. Two A-frame bungalows offer a little more privacy and the same amenities, while a rustic tree house is for the adventurous and tends to shake on windy nights.

    Posada Andrea Cristina Review

    Our group of six stayed here for six nights in late December 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Contrary to the review above, you do not need a car to stay here. It's an easy 10-15 walk into town where there are lots of restaurants and it is not touristy at all. Alex Martinez, his wife,and son Kevin are warm hosts and arranged several side trips for us=kayaking, a river cruise, birding. We also took a cab to Tirimbina and went on their chocolate tour which is fascinating and tasty. Right on the beautiful property are lots of birds, a mother sloth with baby, leaf-cutter ants, and you can hear howler monkeys from your cabina at night.
