Longtime restaurateur Miss Sam has retired after years of dishing up hearty Caribbean cuisine. (She prefers not to divulge how many.) Her family now carries on the tradition and the front porch is still full of diners. Rice and beans are usually going, or you can get a casado with chicken, beef, pork, or fish and freshly squeezed fruit juices as accompaniment. It's open for breakfast, too.
