Fodor's Review:

Conveniently just off the highway, these spacious villas are spread around the jungle on a ridge behind Playa Tortuga, overlooking forest ravines. Most of the recently remodeled villas now have air-conditioning, plus handsome wood furniture and breezy terraces with ceiling fans. A luxurious house has air-conditioning and satellite TV. The restaurant, with chandeliers made of mangrove roots hanging from above and banana stenciling on the walls, has an eclectic menu ranging from Mexican to Thai. A forest trail leads from the villas to the beach, where you can swim safely. Horseback, mangrove, and sea-kayaking tours can be arranged.
