Curious how those tropical houseplants you have at home started out? Ornamental plant farm Costa Flores conducts one-and-a-half-hour English-language tours – advance reservations are required – through its gardens and facilities. (Riotously colored heliconias are a specialty here.) The tour ends at the packing house, where you see how plants are prepared for export. Then you get to create your own floral bouquet to take with you as a souvenir.
