Fodor's Review:
High on a hillside with spectacular ocean views, this Austrian-owned hotel is the most luxurious base for exploring the area. The jewel in this blue-and-white Mediterranean-style hotel is a sparkling, 400-square-meter swimming pool that commands both mountain and sea views. Spacious, elegant rooms and suites set in carefully landscaped grounds have canopy beds, large tile bathrooms with sinks for two, and sliding-glass doors leading out to private terraces. If you tire of the view (not likely), there are large televisions on swivel bases. A pair of rustic cabins are set close together in a lush garden, but they get quite hot and don't have an ocean view. Breakfasts are hearty and the poolside Pura Vida restaurant serves excellent fish (sushi on Thursdays), along with some tasty Austrian specialties. Service is on the slow side, but with an ocean vista and refreshing breezes, who cares?
