Arguably Cahuita's most elegant lodging, this group of bungalows is graced with tile-floor terraces facing a pool and gardens growing on an ancient coral reef. Carpeted rooms have original paintings and custom-made wooden furniture. Feast on intensely flavored French and creole seafood specialties at the Casa Creole ($-$$), open for dinner each evening on the hotel's patio; don't miss the house pâté or the homemade ice cream. The open-air bar rocks to great blues and jazz recordings in the evenings and mellows with classical music at breakfast.

Very peaceful with lovely gardens. Comfortable rooms. Our rooms were screened, but they also have rooms with air condition. We really found everything we were hoping for, definitely one of the nicer places we stayed in.
