If you're hungry for a bargain and want to enjoy a little local atmosphere, join the anglers, families, and backpackers at this tiny restaurant that has spilled over into a large waterfront garden. Wooden tables are nattily covered with blue and white tablecloths and are shaded by palm trees. The menu is vast, with more than 40 bocas (small bites) and platos fuertes (main courses) that run the gamut from seafood rice to whole lobsters. You can make a meal of one or two bocas—say, clams in garlic butter and a cup of tangy ceviche or a shrimp omelet with salad—and walk away for less than $5. Wash it down with local or imported beer and gaze out at Golfo Dulce. An added bonus: there's free Wi-Fi.
