Roca Verde Review

Small and friendly, this is the only hotel with direct beach access in the area, so it's no surprise it's popular with surfers, anglers, and beach-lovers. Sunny, stylish rooms, decorated with swirling flower murals, come with spacious, modern bathrooms and cane-balustraded verandas looking onto a garden and a small pool. There's no TV reception in the rooms, but if you're lucky you'll be here on a night when the little local theater group is performing in the hotel's open-air lobby. The fish-sculpture-festooned lobby is a gallery displaying work by local artists and a gathering place for locals. The hotel arranges surfing lessons and fishing trips. There's live music Friday nights, a mix of classic rock, bluegrass, and jazzy blues.
