All the larger towns in the western highlands have ATMs where you can use your bank card. Bancared has branches in Panajachel, Chichicastenango, Quetzaltenango, and Huehuetenango. In deference to market day, banks in Chichicastenango keep all-day hours on Sundays, but close on Tuesdays.
