La Ceiba
Beaches
The closest beach to La Ceiba, Playa La Barra, starts beyond Barrio La Isla and continues to the Río Cangrejal. A nicer beach, Playade Perú, is about 10 km (6 mi) east of the city. It's extremely popular with out-of-towners on weekends.
