When to Go

The Bay Islands average an annual temperature of 29°C (85°F). The hottest months are May to September, when temperatures tick up into the 90s (though the air is bone dry). The rainy season is generally between early October and January and dive boats run regardless, except during heavy storms. Temperatures might drop to 25°C (77°F) at this time. Hurricane season is mid-September to early November, although the islands are considered below the tropical hurricane belt.
