Health and Safety
San Pedro Sula, Comayagua, and Santa Rosa de Copán have modern hospitals that can assist you with most emergencies. Pharmacies are plentiful in most towns.
A visit to San Pedro Sula entails all the big-city precautions you would take in a large metropolis in a developing country. Lock your car doors while driving here, as there have been robberies. Certain stretches of road between San Pedro Sula and Santa Rosa de Copán are dangerous after sunset, so always travel by day. Other places are reasonably safe with the standard level of care you take when traveling anywhere.
