This landmark hotel boasts arguably the best beach in Cancún. It gained at least 20 feet more sand after Hurricane Wilma. The entire hotel has a contemporary look to it, and the post-Wilma renovation added a swanky new lobby with tequila bar. There's a definite focus on business travelers and conventions, but its extremely safe, virtually currentless beach makes it a favorite with families. Adults looking for even more peace and quiet can take advantage of the adults-only, quiet pool or a beachfront massage. The atmosphere here is more conservative than many of the other resorts along the Zona Hotelera, and although quiet, the Presidente is just a short walk from shops and restaurants.
