It's all about comfort and privacy at this hacienda-style hotel. A hand-carved door leads into the courtyard-lobby, and stairways curve up to the rooms, spa, and library. Guest quarters have bathrooms with whirlpool bathtubs a few steps above the main bedroom. A series of streams, fountains, and gardens leads around the pool to a wide stretch of beach and a beach club restaurant.

We just returned from 5 nights at Casa del Mar and we're dying to go back. The grounds and facilities are beautiful, and it all feels very secluded and private. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was amazing. Food is so-so...breakfast and lunch were consistently excellent, the beach BBQ dinner featured overcooked fish.
