Cabo Wabo Review

American rock plays over an excellent sound system at Cabo Wabo, but the jam sessions with owner Sammy Hagar and his many music-business friends are the real highlight. Plan way in advance to attend Hagar's Birthday Bash Week—usually the second week in October—as tickets sell out. It's a large venue, with a raised stage, a tall ceiling resembling an auditorium, the longest bar in town, and, for VIPs, a lounge upstairs. Strong air-conditioning scores lots of points in the heat of summer. Make dinner reservations to avoid the long lines to get in the club. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served with extensive menus. A taco grill cooks up tasty munchies outside if you wish to cool off after dancing. Shops on-site or at the international airport sell Cabo Wabo souvenir clothing.
