Mercado Insurgentes Review
This typical neighborhood market is an entire block deep, with entrances on both Londres and Liverpool. Most of its more than 200 stalls sell crafts: serapes and ponchos, baskets, pottery, silver, pewter, fossils, and onyx. Expect to pay slightly higher prices here than at the Mercado Artesanal de la Ciudadela. Combine a trip here with one to the antiques stores at Bazar de Antigüedades in Plaza San Angel across the way. It operates Monday-Saturday 10 to 7 or 7:30 and Sunday 11 to 4.
