Morgan's Tobacco Shop and Tequila Collection, both in Playa del Carmen, sell English-language magazines and newspapers, and Mundo Libreria-Bookstore has a good collection of English-language books. Look for Sac-Be, an English- and Spanish-language newspaper published every other month and available all up and down the coast in stores, restaurants, and hotels. This 40-page freebie is full of facts, up-to-date maps, fun things to do, and best of all, there's a special feature titled Beach of the Month, which tells where the locals go for fun in the sun.
