Located at the north end of Punta de Mita, this three-story condo-hotel offers charming two- and three-bedroom apartments. Situated just beyond the string of El Anclote's beach-facing restaurants, it isn't part of the walled, über-priced Punta Mita compound that houses the Four Seasons and St. Regis. Individually decorated by their owners, each apartment has a full-size washer and dryer as well as a generous balcony or patio overlooking the sand and the sea. The smallest apartment is 1,200 square feet. Large kitchens have stainless-steel sinks and faucets, granite countertops with plenty of prep room, and white marble floors. Non-guests can join the gym (with access to the separate men's and women's steam, sauna, and hot tub) by the day, week, month, or year. The innovative (if expensive) cuisine at the adjoining Café des Artistes del Mar provides a nice change of pace from the more traditional seafood restaurants that line the street.
