Visitors seeking tranquil surroundings might choose La Puertecita for its elegant mix of colonial and modern Mexican design. The hotel is a few minutes from downtown (there's shuttle service), in a private park with waterfalls and flowering trees. The tree-house restaurant (yes, you read that correctly) La Palapa has a view of a 300-year-old aqueduct and offers a romantic backdrop for intimate lunches and candlelit dinners.
