La Mina Club Review

Stroll along Avenida Hidalgo to survey the bars and dance clubs.

Remember—whatever happens in La Mina Club stays more than 1,000 feet underground. This is the world's only nightclub in a mine. DJs spin modern dance music—don't expect salsa and merengue—while revelers admire the toxic waters deep below through glass floors. It's open Thursday through Saturday nights 10 pm-3 am, with a cover charge of around $12.

    Great Atmosphere! Better drink prices!

    One of the hottest clubs I've been to outside of coastal Mexican towns. La Mina plays an eclectic mix of modern americanized music with a electronic beat. The cave itself creates such ambience and sound it is unmatched. A bottle of Absolute Vodka at the table ran about 700 pesos ($70 US at the time). There weren't many as many locals but alot of Europeans at the time. Can't wait to go back. I forgot to buy me a Shot Glass!! See ya there!
