Posada de San Francisco Review

This restored colonial mansion right on the Jardín was San Miguel's first hotel, in operation since 1939. However, it's not its most inspired—rooms are somewhat monastic. If you don't mind the noise, request one that faces the Jardín for a great view of La Parroquia and all the events and activities taking place in the center of town.

    Best location

    The location of this hotel is the best in San Miguel. It's nice to walk around the Jardin, late into the night, and know your only steps away from your hotel. You don't need a taxi or to walk down dark unknown streets to get back to the hotel. We are seniors so this means alot to us. The rooms are basic and clean but only on the surface, I suggest you keep your socks on while walking around in your room. The rug needed a serious shampooing. After only one night my socks were brown on the bottom. The restaurant, bar, lobby, and main public areas were nice. The hotel has a charming feel to it. I've stayed there twice before, and plan to stay there again soon. Plus, tell any taxis the name of the hotel and they will know it's exacte location.
