Getting Here and Around
You can fly into Los Mochis connecting through several Mexican cities. The Los Mochis-Topolobampo airport (LMM) is about 30 minutes outside Los Mochis on the road to Topolobampo.
Most people make their way through the canyons by train, on the Ferrocarril Chihuahua al Pacífico, which stops in all the major towns in the region. You can arrange horseback riding or day hikes into the canyon from larger towns, such as Creel.
Bus service is limited, but there are buses between El Fuerte and Los Mochis at the western end of the train route. Getting on the train in El Fuerte makes sense, as the best scenery is between it and Creel. Such a journey also allows you to avoid Chihuahua City, which has seen some drug cartel-related violence.
