How's the Weather?
In Veracruz City and along the coast, the weather is hot and humid throughout the year. The rainy season runs from April to November, though the heaviest rains fall between June and September. Most storms are in the afternoon, clearing up by the early evening. There isn't quite as much rain in the arid areas in the northern part of the state.
Xalapa and the surrounding towns are high in the mountains, so they're usually cooler than coastal communities.
Keep in mind the possible range of temperatures if you are planning a trip to Pico de Orizaba, the highest mountain in Mexico, and its surrounding woodlands.
