Hotel Castelmar Review

This renovated hotel in the heart of the downtown area is an elegant and comfortable place to relax and enjoy Campeche. The building was originally constructed in 1800, and many of the original details, including some of the tiling, the pillars, and the archways, have been preserved. Some of the newest additions, like the pool at the back of the property and the inner courtyard with plants and a fountain, add comfort and charm. The rooms are not all alike, but most have red tile floors, wood furniture, and high ceilings. There's one on the first floor without any windows—so take a look before you agree to take one.
