Known for its Mexican hospitality and relaxing vibe, this small hotel is made up of brightly painted beachside bungalows. Rooms are clean, simple, and tastefully decorated. While the cement floors aren't optimal, the exposed wooden beams under the palapa-style roof are very cozy, as are the splashes of color found on the chairs and bedspreads. Each bed is draped with a mosquito net, so you'll be safe from nighttime critters. A few of the rooms have kitchens, which is great for longer stays. The most expensive rooms have balconies and ocean views. A small beachside, thatch-roof restaurant serves food that couldn't be fresher. Breakfast is included—expect local fruit, homemade bread, and fresh jams. If visiting during the summer months, ask the owner's about their whale shark tours.
