Yucatan and Campeche States Restaurants

Faro del Morro

Faro del Morro Review

This restaurant on a pirate ship only serves food when it set sails, and the ocean views and the bay tours are as much a draw as the excellent food. Seafood is the specialty of the house, but meat eaters can try one of the chicken options or the wonderful beef carpaccio. A recommended dish is the seafood cocktails with onion and cilantro on the side so that you can mix it to your own taste. Try their thick tortilla, split in half, and filled with cheese, green pepper, and shrimp, and served with toasted garlic on top. The restaurant is open from 11 until 7. The Spanish galleon sails daily at noon and 5 or 6 in the evening, depending on the season. They also only depart with a minimum of 15 people, but the ship can hold as many as 100.
