Boca del Drago

Boca del Drago Review

Boca del Drago is a tiny fishing community in the northwest corner of the island that overlooks the mainland. The water at the coconut palm-lined beach is usually calm, which makes for good swimming and snorkeling. It's a popular destination for boat tours. A small restaurant on the beach serves decent seafood and always has plenty of cold beer.

La Gruta. Halfway across the island, at the village of Colonia Santeña, is La Gruta. This bat-filled cave is surrounded by ferns with a stream running out of it. Two statues of the Virgin Mary guard its entrance. 7 km (4 mi) north of Bocas.
