Restaurante Panamonte Review
Though Boquete's first hotel now faces stiff competition, its charming restaurant remains one of the best in town. Inventive dishes based on traditional Panamanian cuisine include pumpkin soup, shrimp-and-plantain croquettes, mountain trout sautéed with almonds, and grilled beef tenderloin topped with a three-pepper sauce. It's served in a historic European atmosphere that's hardly changed over the past century. Sunday breakfast is popular.
