Castlegate Inn

Fodor's Review:

This inn, a ten-minute walk from Casa Loma, Toronto's own castle, is ideal for senior citizens, students, weekly visitors, or anyone requiring inexpensive lodging in a residential neighborhood. Thirty-one tastefully decorated rooms, all with private baths, are distributed among three adjacent buildings. Some rooms have sofa beds as well as regular queen beds, mini-refrigerators and microwaves, Wi-Fi access, and cable or satellite TV. Ask for a room with a balcony to enjoy the fresh air. Pros: spotless, subway and bus stops minutes away, quiet location. Cons: shopping, restaurants, and other attractions require transit or long walk, room décor styles vary from comfy to kitsch.

  • Hotel Details: 34 rooms, 6 suites
  • In-room: kitchen (some), refrigerator, Wi-Fi (some).
  • In-hotel: public Wi-Fi, parking (paid), no-smoking rooms.
  • Rate includes: Continental breakfast
