Service is the motto here, with a staff-to-guest ratio of 1:6 and 24-hour butler service. Lavish suites have handmade furnishings, luxurious bedcover fabrics, state-of-the-art DVD and CD sound systems, and whirlpool tubs. You can dine in the beautifully appointed Courtyard Café, take tea in the cozy Tea Room, or relax and hide away in Club 22. The on-site spa is a heavenly retreat, with a peaceful, elegant 24-hour swimming pool and state-of-the-art gym. The building's graceful neo-Gothic facade has been painstakingly restored, contributing to the hotel's genteel refinement. Pros: high repeat business due to privacy and personal service, ultra-comfortable beds, complimentary Continental breakfast. Cons: some 4th-floor rooms noisy due to downstairs functions, staff may be preoccupied, no newsstand or gift shop.

Difficult to know where to begin!
Our request to the concierge emailed twice weeks in advance were not taken of.
In our 4th floor corner suite we clearly heard the noise from functions well past midnight as well as our neighbours toilet & shower!
Room service was patchy, once cold food with no teapot & no condiments. Another time cancelling croissant & coffee after waiting 40 minutes.
Doormen are surly & rarely actually opened the door. They were too busy chatting.
Bar & restaurant closed night due to private functions.
No glasses for the mini-bar, we were told to use the water glasses from the toilet!
The only positive was the large room, but we were paying $1,000 a night for that. We couldn't wait to leave.
